There are issues with Project Preferences. You cannot make any changes to anything besides the Main Project Preference. No School, no Work, etc. It just fails. The other issue is that the Preferences are forced forward. If I make changes to a second project the way I want them to work, WUProp forces itself as newer than any other project. This does not allow me to have the changes to different venues the way I want them to be. So I am being forced to try and do them locally. This also seems to be an issue with how WUProp pushes preferences. Please fix the preferences area, make it standard so that I can adjust things my way. I usually have several venues at other projects but see no need at WUProp The issue is that WUProp is forcing it's settings, so many changes at other venues do not work correctly. For example WUProp doesn't have "Maintain enough work for an additional ... days", and changing this at other venues does not work because WUProp is made priority. I usually have several venues at other projects but see no need at WUProp I think you don't know how this works.. Boinc General setting are sent to all other projects you use. Always the newest change is used. The simple solution to this is to use another project to create the settings and only use that project to make any changes. |

Are you sure you are making changes to * Preferences for this project WUProp@Home preferences? and not * When and how BOINC uses your computer Computing preferences? If you modify the later preference it WILL override as they are GLOBAL... Computing preferences |

I am ONLY changing options at PrimeGrid, yet the BOINC Manger says that WUProp is the one sending the options. See the way BOINC sees the Preferences for gathering the information. https://photos.app.goo.gl/n6J5ncE1iYa2gpmB6 |

Maintain enough work for an additional This is not a per project setting. You only get one WUProp task at once so this option has no affect at WUProp. |

Maintain enough work for an additional But it is available on other projects, which I CANNOT SET because WUProp forces itself to be the parent project. |

WUProp forces itself to be the parent project. Have you tried updating your web preferences at another project site and then force an update for that project in BOINC Manager (even if you don't want more work from that project) see if the settings propagate to your computer(s)? |

WUProp forces itself to be the parent project. This issue has been happening for a while. I think since the Project changed URLs. I have removed and readded projects, etc. I have updated software. NOTHING changes that WUProp must be the master. |

Open your Boinc Manager, Select Options and then Select Computing Preferences. What does the link show for Web Prefs? If it is not Wuprop your problem does not exist. If it is Wuprop go to another project you are attached to. Change something in the Global setting and save. Go back to Boinc Manager and do an update for that project. The link for the Web Prefs should show the project you just changed and updated. |

As you can see from the photo I added above https://wuprop.statseb.fr/forum_thread.php?id=755&postid=12390, it shows WUProp. Even after making changes at two different projects and hitting update. |

You are using WUProp as your global preferences which is your own setting to override the client. This is a you problem, not a WUProp problem. Follow what Hank said to use local preferences vs global. Even still, that has nothing to do with a Venue which has these options. Resource share 100 Use CPU Run test applications? |

Weird. You are a exemption because nobody seems to have your problem. Do you use different venues? Check what is used at your host setting. The setting "Maintain enough work for an additional ... days", that you are looking for does exist on Wuprop it is juist named different "Store up to an additional" |

I found the issue,. The problem is I had several venues on WUProp, but I could not edit any of them except the Default one. All the others errored if I tried to change them. I now have deleted all venues except leaving the default one at WUProp, and I can now edit at other projects and my preferences change. So, there is an issue at WUProp with multiple venues. Since WUProp really doesn't need venues, deleting them didn't affect this project, and now allows me to adjust my settings as I see fit, elsewhere. **This issue is now closed** |
