I am getting this a PC and the above mentioned SSL on all RPi instances.
Resetting doesn't work
Cannot remove/add project. Get 184 error when re-adding.
Updated an RPI to latest client and still could not add project.
boinccmd project attach ends with the same HTTP error as desktop PC.

Looking at the SSL/Security Certificate information for the project, it was just updated yesterday (December 28, 2025).and is good until Jan 13, 2027. So that should not be a problem.

My best guess is it's probably the CloudFlare proxy blockers being too aggressive again. See my various posts in the forums mentioning it causing problems on my Linux Ubuntu PC.

Web search for http error 184 duck.ai says:
HTTP error 184 typically indicates an issue related to the request being processed, often due to invalid parameters or a problem with the server's ability to handle the request. To resolve it, check the request details for accuracy and ensure that all required fields are correctly formatted.

If it continues, in BOINC Manager
enable the two flags below in the cc_config.xml file or the drop down GUI menu and have BOINC re-read the config files or restart BOINC.Then try to re-add/attach WuProp.

http_debug
work_fetch_debug

Then maybe the real reason will show up in BOINC event log.

The 184 was when adding a project, in BOINC Tasks. I'm not sure if that means its an http error or not.

I updated Mint 21 and installed 7.18 (latest one available to Mint 21) and I can now add projects and get WUProp tasks again. Not sure which one solved it.

This might be related:

Now to see about the RPIs

I am also having problems, starting the 29th. The completed task could not upload. So I tried detaching and reattaching. Detaching worked fine of course. But when I try attaching, I get:

12/30/2025 3:49:47 AM	Fetching configuration file from https://wuprop.statseb.fr/get_project_config.php
12/30/2025 3:49:48 AM	Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
12/30/2025 3:49:49 AM	Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

No idea whats up with the PIs now. One on 8.2.8 cannot add the project. Others still on 7.16, 7.20 and 8.0.4 still cannot upload.

I have the same problem, but only on my Linux x86 machines. Those running Windows and Linux on x86_64 always receive WU tasks.

This problem has hit me too. Windows host is ok, but linux and freebsd cannot upload. Also upload to PrimeGrid stopped working.

Can confirm it's fixed on 4/5 affected hosts. Don't have access to the last one so I'll just have to wait for it to retry in several hours, possibly almost a whole day.

Ok after manually triggering upload pending uploads and manually triggering new download it's working for me, too.
But quiete a job for all the servers. Hope now it's running automatically again.
