Only a manager issue, so it will clear on its own for affected hosts

All 4 of the Box's I'm running were affected. I just suspended the project , then reset the project & downloaded a few Wu's to just 1 Box, So far it not affecting that box, will run it over night before downloading Wu's to other Box's to see if it stays okay.

Im a bit skeptical at the moment with new projects because they coming so fast right now. And i have win10 EOL, so i shouldnt go on every website thats spawning anywhere ^^

Its not allowed on pro with domaine because they thing you are a company who has to pay for it. So i dont get an ESU offer. But i will look into your link later, thx.

If I thought it was useless then why do I have tasks running from BitBOINC? Some of your apps interest me, others do not. I grab a few hours for WUProp from every BOINC app then run what I have an interest in or a goal.

hey mmonnin (and team),

i have a simple suggestion for the benefit of the BOINC community.

let's settle all misunderstandings and move on to accomplishing the projects' goals. this would show that the BOINC community is still welcoming to new projects and ideas. I see you are interested in some of the subprojects; that is good. Currently, there is a need for volunteers' computing power to finalize the Phygas and Nostos computations and prepare the results for scientific review.

re BitBOINC issues:

1) The initial reaction was very hateful, like, "oh, they mine bitcoins," or something. Today, when Rytis cloned the project, the reaction did not look so hateful. Therefore, it looks like this part of the argument may be settled.

2) The "AI vibe coding" argument. It is now clear that Skillz, Rytis, and other developers use AI for coding. As has been discussed many times, AI can be extremely helpful for developing apps faster, provided there is proper human review and unit testing. For example, Alperen, the BitBOINC admin, developed an app for NumberFields@home with AI assistance. Since the code is open source, anyone can review it, run validations, and check that it works correctly. I believe this part of the argument can also be settled.

3) The credits issue. When BitBOINC started, it gave more credits. On the very first day, it was pointed out that there is a credit system. BitBOINC applied the BOINC server system, and it was not working well due to the nature of the tasks. Within a few days, the credits system was adjusted and retroactively updated, and now it is settled. No more issues. All that was required was pointing out the solution instead of hating and blaming.

4) "Personality" arguments. I am Ukrainian and personally stand against bullies because that is my moral position, and you will not change it. Instead of judging people by their results, you and your friends mock and make fun of the BitBOINC developer, as you did previously with Axiom. No one is forcing you to join and crunch it. The BitBOINC admin is actually trying to be creative, building various BOINC software and starting a project. I understand that being mocked and bullied can provoke an angry response, but I believe disagreements are better handled without insults. If you have any personal issues, you can keep them to yourself or communicate privately.

Please let me know what other issues you see, and let's settle them as normal people would.

The issue is the admin. Example: They signed up, completed 1 task so they could post here so they could post and bring up the same thing over and over; making false accusations without proof. And they are doing it to Rytis at their project.

1:) Your "or something" comment. Have you seen it? Do you KNOW (WITH FACTS) it was cloned? Not heresy. Do you have proof? I haven't seen that coming from supporters of BitBOINC

2: Using AI to code in and of itself has no issue IMO. It can come up with creative solutions that humans wouldn't think of or take a load of time to complete. I don't speak for anyone else but others probably feel the same. It's when everything is done with AI code without verification or understanding of what the code is doing. Ian just explained at E@H how the code works on their app in a post yesterday. While I've seen the badges break multiple times at BitBOINC. W/o understanding of an issue, problems return which can happen in all aspects of life.

3:) The admin pointed to the credits of E@H where the credit was set on O4ab tasks when they took an hour plus in in line with GPU work. Through optimization they run much quicker and credit/hr went way up. That seemed to be the benchmark used and BitBOINC was above that at millions an hour for some users. The admin even said it was set high to attract crunchers that go for high credit. Credit seems more reasonable now.

I like that the admin has implemented basically all of the combined options I've seen across projects such as the GPU factor at E@H and the # of Jobs/CPUs that several other projects have implemented. The additional improvements with themes, badges, app status and info on the apps is great like the Nostos animations,

But above all. Nothing was stolen. From anyone. The accusations need to stop.

As the title says it is so far a test of setting up the docker tasks for a later project by planet3dnow and rechenkraft teams. Don't think it is for the public yet(the tasks are just docker image setup und very short test compute)

The project will be deleted once the test finishes. So ignore it for now. Would guess it will have an announcement when more beta tester are wanted.

I think Rosetta was that way at one time, could still be, they don't have many tasks for regular Boinc users anymore.
